Greg Mescall joined USA Water Polo as the media relations manager in July 2007 and was promoted to Associate Director of Communications. Most recently he was promoted to Director of Communications in April of 2013. In this position he serves as the main media relations contact for USA Water Polo as well as webmaster for the corporate website, editor of the USA Water Polo magazine, Skip Shot. In addition Greg is the main reporter/host on a variety of USA Water Polo produced video segments and broadcasts. He hosts "The Counter Attack with Greg Mescall" a weekly water polo news program and serves as play-by-play announce for all USA Water Polo webcasts.

In addition to his work with USA Water Polo, Greg has also broadcasted sports for a variety of networks including the Big Ten Network, Fox Sports West, ESPNU, Go Live Polo, IBN Sports, Pac-12 Networks, Time Warner Cable, and Universal Sports among others.

Prior to USAWP, Greg served for two years in the sports information department at Wagner College on Staten Island, New York. While at Wagner he was responsible for women's water polo and swimming, along with men's and women's track and field. He also served as the play-by-play broadcaster for Wagner football and basketball from 2003-2007.

Outside of Wagner College, Greg served as a sports producer at WWOR-TV and WCBS-TV in the New York City market. Other experience includes work with The Tim McCarver Show and the New York Giants. He earned a BA in communications from Monmouth University and a Masters in education from Wagner College. A winner of basketball crowns in MYAA and the MFB, Greg was selected as a CYO All-Star for St. Agnes in the mid 2000s. Originally from Leonardo, New Jersey and Brooklyn, New York, his hobbies include basketball, movies, sports broadcasting and DVR.
