USA Youth Women Open Play In Australia With 17-10 Win Over Hungary

Canberra, Australia - December 6 - The USA Women's Youth National Team kicked off a four nations tourney in Australia today with a 17-10 win over Hungary. The event serves as a warmup to the FINA Youth World Championship which starts next week in Auckland, New Zealand. In the win over Hungary it was Aria Fischer leading the attack with six goals while Heidi Ritner and Thea Walsh combined for eight saves in net. Team USA returns to action tomorrow against Australia and closes out competition against Germany on Thursday. The USA Youth Women led in this match throughout going ahead 5-3 after the first quarter and leading 6-4 at halftime. They went up 13-9 after three quarters en route to the victory.
