USA Youth Women Fly Past Trinidad & Tobago 16-2 With Youth Pan Am Semifinals Up Next

Lima, Peru - July 6 - The USA Youth Women stayed perfect at the UANA Youth Pan Ams with a 16-2 win over Trinidad & Tobago earlier today. Layne Anzaldo powered a balanced offensive effort with four goals while Maya Avital and Carolyne Stern combined for 15 saves in net. Team USA now moves on to the semifinal round on Friday where they will meet Argentina at 11:30am et/8:30am pt. For more information on the tournament, click here. The United States roared out to a quick start with a 5-0 lead after the first quarter and a 10-1 lead at halftime. With the game in control the United States added on six more goals in the second half and limited Trinidad & Tobago to just one score to earn the victory. 

Team USA went 1/2 on power plays and did not attempt a penalty while Trinidad & Tobago went 1/2 on the advantage and 1/1 on penalty shots.
