USA Youth Women Move Past Brazil 11-3 In Second Match At Youth Pan Ams

Lima, Peru - July 2 - The USA Youth Women's National Team continued their winning ways at the UANA Youth Pan Ams, downing Brazil 11-3 on day two. Layne Anzaldo and Abigail Hendrix each scored two goals to lead the offense with Carolyne Stern and Maya Avital teaming up for 13 saves in net. Team USA took control of the match early opening up a 5-1 lead after one quarter. Both offenses went quiet in the second quarter with neither side finding the back of the net leaving Team USA ahead 5-1 at halftime. The United States added two more goals in the third and then put the match away with a four goal effort in the fourth to win going away 11-3. 

The United States went 3/8 on power plays and held Brazil to just 1/9 with neither team attempting a penalty shot.
