USA Youth Men Lose Close Match To Australia 8-7 At FINA Youth World Championship

Istanbul, Turkey - August 8 - The USA Men's Youth National Team lost a close match to Australia 8-7 earlier today at the FINA Youth World Championship. Kent Inoue scored three goals while Alex Wolf stopped nine shots in net. Team USA will meet Japan on Saturday at 12:20am pst. 

Team USA and Australia were even after the first period at 1-1 and the United States took a 5-4 lead into halftime. In the third the United States expanded their lead going ahead 7-5. Australia roared back in the fourth period outscoring the United States 3-0 to pull out the victory 8-7.

The United States went 4/7 on power plays and did not attempt a penalty shot while Australia was 0/4 on power plays and 1/1 on penalty shots.
