Budapest, Hungary - July 5 - The USA Men’s National Team fell 10-9 to Australia in the first game of the Benu Cup in Hungary. Johnny Hooper (Los Angeles, CA/California/LA Premier) led Team USA with 3 goals while Alex Wolf (Huntington Beach, CA/UCLA/Bruin) recorded 10 saves.

Team USA jumped out to a 2-0 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, Australia outscored Team USA 4-2 to tie the game 4-4 at halftime. Australia continued their momentum as they outscored Team USA 4-3 to take an 8-7 lead at the end of the third quarter. The fourth quarter finished level as Australia took the one goal victory. Team USA went 2/6 on power plays and Australia went 0/3 on power plays. Neither team attempted a penalty shot.
