USA Men Defeat Canada 22-3 In FINA World League Prelim Action

Los Alamitos, CA - May 27 - The USA Men's National Team made quick work of Canada, winning 22-3 in FINA World League Prelim action. Paul Reynolds scored five goals to lead all scorers while Andy Stevens and Matt Johnson split time in net en route to the victory.

This match was never in doubt with Team USA building a 6-0 lead after the first period and an 11-0 lead at halftime. In the third Canada got on the board scoring three goals but that was countered by five goals from the United States. In the final period Team USA posted six more goals while blanking Canada on the way to the 22-3 win. Michael Rosenthal, Brandon Johnson, and Matt DeTrane scored three goals while Griffin Lerman, Collin Smith, and Alex Bowen scored twice. Tommy Corcoran and Alex Obert rounded out the scoring with one goal each.

The USA Men close out play in the FINA World League Prelims with a match against Brazil at 3pm pst.
