USA Water Polo To Announce Women's World Championships Roster June 24

Huntington Beach, Calif. – June 17, 2009 – USA Water Polo will announce the 14-woman roster for the 2009 FINA World Championships on Wednesday, June 24 at the USA Water Polo National Training Center in Los Alamitos, CA. Media are invited to attend the team practice beginning at 9:30am with all athletes and coaches available post-practice at 10:30am.
Recently named Head Coach Adam Krikorian will lead the team into the 2009 World Championships in Rome, Italy. Winners of the Silver Medal at the 2008 Olympic Games and defending World Champions from 2007, the team is coming off a Gold Medal at the 2009 FINA World League Super Final in Kirishi, Russia. Team USA begins the World Championships on July 19 with Kazakhstan before meeting Russia and Greece in opening pool play.
