Below you will find important information for Splashball programs, participants and facilitators. There are additional requirements that MUST be met for facilitators, so please take the time to read the instructions.
Thank you again for your commitment to the sport of water polo, we hope you enjoy the season and come back for more!
FOR PROGRAMS (NEW OR EXISTING):
In order to be able to utilize the Splashball trademark, logos and any other marking or likeness when running your Splashball program, ALLSplashball programs must be registered with USAWP.
This registration for your Splashball program is free and easy.
FOR PARTICIPANTS AND FACILITATORS:
If when registering you were lucky enough to already find your club/location, no further steps are necessary with USAWP. Simply show up to your Club/Location on their scheduled practice and game days and have a blast!
However, if when you registered you were not sure about who to register with and selected the 2018 Splashball - At Large club, please contact USAWP directly, and we will help either create a new club/location for you, or find the most appropriate one to assign you (facilitator) or your child to.
FOR FACILITATORS ONLY:
Thank you for registering as a Splashball Facilitator! As a Splashball Facilitator, you are helping shape the future of our sport in the United States; maybe you will help discover the next USA Water Polo Olympian!
In order to complete your registration and make your profile ACTIVE, you must complete some requisite courses in order to certify your ability to teach our youngest participants. The following must be completed before you will be eligible to participate in your organization's Splashball practices:
- First Aid Certification Upload
- CPR Certification Upload
- SafeSport Course Completion
- Background Screening ($20 every two years)
In order to complete these four requirements, please view the two short videos in the links below that will walk you through the process of uploading and completing these pre-requisites.
Upon succesful completion of these pre-requisites, the USAWP office will automatically toggle your status to active, and you will be ready to get on the pool deck and start positively influencing the lives of our youngest athletes.
ADDING SPLASHBALL TO AN EXISTING MEMBERSHIP:
As an added benefit, existing USAWP members can add the Splashball Facilitator and Participant memberships for free (exception of Heritage and Trial Members). To register, log in to your member profile and on the left hand side under the "Member Home" section, you will see a tab that says "Splashball Program". Click on that and then read about the requirements/process in the "Splashball Program Information" tab. You can then search from programs by clicking the "Find Splashball Programs" tab, and then click on "Participant Registration" next to the Program you wish to register with.
UPGRADING FROM SPLASHBALL:
Splashball Participants and Facilitators are eligible to upgrade their membership at any time with USAWP in order to compete/participate in Bronze, Silver or Gold level events throughout the year. Similarly, Splashball Facilitators are also eligible to upgrade their membership to a full Coach Membership or any other at any time. To do this, on the home page of your member profile in the blue navigation box on the left hand side you will see an option for "Renew Membership". Click on that, and select the membership you wish to upgrade to.
Thank you again for your commitment to the sport and to USA Water Polo. If you have any questions about the Splashball program registration process, please contact splashball@usawaterpol
