BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The University of California-Los Angeles, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and Princeton University top the national rankings as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) released the 2011 Men's Varsity Week 8/October 26 National Top 20, Division III Top 10 and CWPA Top 10 Polls.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the CWPA, Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the polls are compiled and released on Wednesday during each week of the season through the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
2011 Men's Varsity National Top 20
The University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) remains at No. 1 in the Week 8/October 26 Men's Varsity National Top 20 poll as the Bruins garnered 98 points.
Unlike last week in which the Top 10 experienced dramatic changes, the Week 8 poll 's Top 10 remains similar to the October 19 poll as the University of Southern California (96 points), Stanford University (90 points), University of California-Berkeley (87 points), University of California-Santa Barbara (79 points), Pepperdine University (73 points), University of the Pacific (69 points), University of California-Irvine (68 points) and Long Beach State University (58 points) hold on at No. 2-to-9, respectively.
The lone newcomer to the Top 10 is Loyola Marymount University (57 points) which rises from No. 11 to No. 10. Due to the Lions' movement, theUniversity of California-San Diego (50 points) drops back to No. 11, with the University of California-Davis (45 points) and Concordia University (37 points) rating at No. 12 and 13 after being tied at No. 12 last week.
Princeton University (36 points), Santa Clara University (24 points), the United States Naval Academy (23 points) and Bucknell University (17 points) hold on at No. 14-through-17, with Bucknell University (17 points), California Baptist University (15 points), St. Francis College (11 points) and Brown University (10 points) rounding out the Top 20.
The United States Air Force Academy (5 points), Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (3 points) and University of Redlands (1 point) conclude the teams receiving votes.

2011 Men's Varsity Division III Top 10
The Division III ranks remain consistent as Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges continues in the top position as the squad picked up 97 points in the Week 8/October 26 Men's Varsity Division III National Top 10 poll.
The University of Redlands (94 points), California Lutheran University (87 points), Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (86 points) and Johns Hopkins University (81 points) complete the Top Five in the poll.
Chapman University (73 points) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (71 points) remain at No. 6 and 7, respectively, while Occidental College (69 points) and Whittier College (59 points) trade exchange the No. 8 and 9 positions.
The University of La Verne (46 points) holds on at No. 10 to conclude the teams which earned a national ranking, while Washington & Jefferson College (12 points) received votes.

2011 Men's Varsity CWPA Top 10
Princeton University continues to reign as the Tigers earned the No. 1 position in the Week 8/October 26 Men's Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Top 10.
The Tigers, who garnered 100 points to rank as the coaches' unanimous selection as the No. 1 team in the league for a second week in a row, holds an eight point lead over the United States Naval Academy (92 points), which continues at No. 2.
Bucknell University (87 points) stays at No. 3, while St. Francis College (N.Y.) (85 points) and Brown University (85 points) pull into a tie at No. 4. Johns Hopkins University (76 points) continues at No. 6 for another week.
Iona College (70 points), Fordham University (60 points), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (51 points) and George Washington University (47 points) complete the poll as nine of the teams held their positions from the October 19 rankings.
Harvard University (23 points) continues to rank just outside the Top 10 as the Crimson picked up 23 votes.
