BRIDGEPORT, Pa. -- The University of California-Los Angeles, Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges and Princeton University top the national rankings as the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) released the 2011 Men's Varsity Week 7/October 19 National Top 20, Division III Top 10 and CWPA Top 10 Polls.
Voted on by a panel of coaches from the CWPA, Western Water Polo Association (WWPA), Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF), Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), the polls are compiled and released on Wednesday during each week of the season through the week following the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
2011 Men's Varsity National Top 20
The University of California-Los Angeles (UCLA) rises to No. 1 in the Week 7/October 19 Men's Varsity National Top 20 poll as the Bruins garnered 97 points.
The Top 10 in the nation experienced dramatic changes as the University of Southern California (95 points), Stanford University (91 points), University of California-Berkeley (88 points), University of California-Santa Barbara (79 points), Pepperdine University (73 points), University of the Pacific (69 points), University of California-Irvine (68 points), Long Beach State University (58 points) and University of California-San Diego (59 points) account for the top half of the Top 20.
Loyola Marymount University (13 points) begins the next 10 as the Lions edged out Concordia University (45 points) and the University of California-Davis (45 points) which tied for the 12th position.
Princeton University (34 points) moves up to No. 14, with Santa Clara University (32 points), the United States Naval Academy (23 points),Bucknell University (15 points), California Baptist University (13 points), United States Air Force Academy (13 points) and St. Francis College (11 points) round out the Top 20.

2011 Men's Varsity Division III Top 10
The Division III ranks remain unchanged as Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges continues in the top position as the squad picked up 97 points in the Week 7/October 19 Men's Varsity Division III National Top 10 poll.
The University of Redlands (95 points), California Lutheran University (86 points), Pomona-Pitzer Colleges (85 points) and Johns Hopkins University (84 points) complete the Top Five in the poll.
Chapman University (73 points), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (72 points), Whittier College (65 points), Occidental College (60 points) and University of La Verne (46 points) remain at No. 6-to-10.
Washington & Jefferson College (12 points) rounds out the teams receiving votes.

2011 Men's Varsity CWPA Top 10
Princeton University returns to the No. 1 position in the Week 7/October 19 Men's Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Top 10 following a one week reign by Bucknell University.
The Tigers, who garnered 100 points to rank as the coaches' unanimous selection as the No. 1 team in the league, jumps up one place after ranking at No. 2 last week. The United States Naval Academy (93 points) moves up two places to No. 2, while formerly No. 1 ranked Bucknell (92 points) slips to No. 3.
St. Francis College (N.Y.) (83 points) falls to No. 4, while Brown University (80 points) and Johns Hopkins University (76 points) break a tie at No. 5 to hold the No. 5 and 6 berths, respectively.
Iona College (65 points) moves up to No. 7, with Fordham University (62 points), the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (53 points) and George Washington University (47 points) complete the Top 10, with Harvard University (24 points) receiving votes.
