USA Junior Women Hammer Indonesia 31-0 On Day Two Of FINA Junior World Championships

Trieste, Italy - September 12 - The USA Women's Junior National Team crushed Indonesia 31-0 on day two of the FINA Junior World Championships for their second straight victory. Dana Ochsner scored seven times to lead a variety of goal scorers and Kate Baldoni added five saves in the cage. Team USA meets up with Greece tomorrow.
Team USA was never challenged in this match as they opened up an 8-0 lead after the first quarter and a 17-0 lead at halftime. In the third quarter it was more of the same with seven more goals added to the ledger for a 24-0 lead going to the fourth quarter. In the final period the United States added seven more unanswered goals to pull away 31-0. The impressive scoring output saw the team average nearly a goal a minute in the win.
Other scorers for the United States included Ashley Grossman, Madeline Rosenthal, and Kiley Neushul with four goals each. Brooke Martin and Dominique Sardo scored three times each. Emily Greenwood and Colleen O'Donnell scored two goals apiece and Kaley Dodson and Rachel Fattal each scored once. The United States went 3/4 on power plays while Indonesia 0/2.
