USA Junior Men Make It Two Straight With 17-4 Win Over Mexico

Volos, Greece - August 29 - The USA Men's Junior National Team made it two straight victories with a 17-4 win over Mexico at the FINA Junior World Championships. Team USA was led by a balanced scoring effort with three goals apiece for Josh Samuels, Collin Smith, and Brett Bonanni. Jon Sibley and Justin Parsons combined in net for seven saves. The United States next meets up with Serbia on Tuesday in group play.
The United States jumped out early leading 2-0 after the first and 8-1 at halftime. The offense continued in the second half with a 12-2 lead at the end of the third period and the team tacked on five goals in the fourth to come away winners at 17-4. Other goal scorers for the United States included Chris Wendt, Nick Rascon, Alex Bowen, and Jon Walters all with two goals each while Paul Rudolph added a goal as well.
Team USA went 3/5 on power plays while Mexico was just 2/7.
