Water Polo "Video Of The Year" Contest Hosted Online By TURBO USA

(IRVINE, CA) - TURBO USA, the official outfitting partner of Team USA and USA Water Polo Gold Sponsor, announced today the first annual Water Polo “VIDEO OF THE YEAR CONTEST”. The online contest is open to all water polo enthusiasts to upload their home videos into the online contest site in four best-of categories: Offensive Play, Defensive Play, Goalie Save and Blooper. The contest is open to all ages. The deadline for video submission is September 15. Fans can register and begin viewing and rating videos now through October 1. Winners will be announced on October 15.
Anyone can submit a video by going to www.turbo.us and following the link to the official contest website. Submitters have the chance to win great prizes from TURBO and an iPad2 grand prize for the best all-around video. The contest site also allows submitters to share their videos with friends on facebook and twitter and encourage friends to vote for their videos. The top five “most viewed” videos in each category with the highest rankings will move on to the finals which will be judged by a panel of water polo aficionados.
“Memorable moments are being captured on iPhones and video cameras at every game and this first-ever contest enriches the water polo experience”, said Todd Snider, president of TURBO USA and KAP7 Water Polo. The culture and lifestyle of our sport is being played out beyond the swimming pools on facebook and twitter, and we’re all about connecting the dots.” Snider added that the contest site is also the foundation for a broader water polo community network, giving each member the opportunity to create a profile and upload/share their own content, providing more visibility and exposure opportunities. “We’ll also be covering the USA Water Polo teams in unique ways as they march towards the 2012 London games,” added Snider.
