Universal Sports & USOC Commit To Unprecedented Coverage Of 2011 SwimOutlet.com Junior Olympics

Huntington Beach, Calif. – July 20, 2011 – Universal Sports, the premier multi-platform media destination for Olympic-related sports programming, and the United States Olympic Committee have committed to broadcast and webcast, respectively, coverage of the SwimOutlet.com Junior Olympics in Irvine California, it was announced today by Christopher Ramsey, CEO of USA Water Polo.
The Gold Medal matches of the SwimOutlet.com Junior Olympic Platinum division will be webcast on the USOC’s website, teamusa.org, live and free of charge. Universal Sports, a partnership between NBC Sports and InterMedia Partners, LP, will broadcast a one-hour Junior Olympic Special on Tuesday, August 23 at 10:00pm est/7:00pm pst featuring highlights from the championship games along with commentary on, and feature stories from, what has become the world’s largest water polo tournament. The SwimOutlet.com Junior Olympics takes place this July 30-August 7 in Irvine, California. It will feature some 500 teams playing under FINA regulations in the largest concentration of 50 meter courses in the world.

Water Polo fans will be able to access live streams of the boys’ and girls’ title matches in 12U, 14U, 16U, 18U, & 21U age divisions of the platinum brackets as well as the coed 10U championship match with the boys’ action taking place on August 2 and the girls’ action on August 7.
