First Ever Junior Olympic Challenge Tournament Set For Orange County, California; Schedule Change Announced For 2011 SwimOutlet.com Junior Olympics

Huntington Beach, CA - March 21 - The first ever Junior Olympic Challenge tournament has been set and will take place July 30-August 7 throughout Orange County, California. The tournament which allows for extended playing opportunities for hundreds of athletes in a championship tournament environment will expand the current Junior Olympics format by including two more divisions (Silver & Bronze) in several age groups. The JO Challenge will feature age groups on the boys side of 18U, 16U, and 14U, while the girls will compete in age groups of 18U and 16U.
In addition a schedule change has been announced for the upcoming 2011 SwimOutlet.com Junior Olympics also being held in Orange County, California. In the new schedule all mens/boys competition including the 21 and Under division will compete July 30-August 2 while all girls competition including the 21 and Under division will compete August 4-7. This is a change from the original schedule that had the 21U divisions competing in the same date range as opposing genders. 10 and Under mixed will remain in session 1 as originally announced competing July 30 - August 2.
The schedule change was made to provide a better balanced schedule for participants, fans, and pools. In addition positive feedback regarding a change was gathered from coaches and competitors in the 21U division.
