2011 USA Water Polo Assembly & Referees' Association Meeting Set For January 14-16 In Costa Mesa, CA

Huntington Beach, Calif. – December 16, 2011 – US Olympic Committee CEO Scott Blackmun headlines the 2011 USA Water Polo Assembly, set for January 14-16, 2011 at the Hilton Costa Mesa in Costa Mesa, CA. Blackmun, named CEO in early 2010, will deliver the event’s keynote address. The Assembly will include the annual USA Water Polo Awards conducted on the evening of Saturday, January 15 along with related meetings and seminars for USA Water Polo delegates and members. For the first time the event will be joined in conjunction by the inaugural Referees' Association Annual Meeting and USA Water Polo Referee School. The USA Water Polo Referee School will include presentations from top domestic and international referees including a keynote address from FINA Referee and Olympic veteran Boris Margeta.

The USA Water Polo Assembly is open to all members of USA Water Polo and attendance is encouraged. Registration for the various parts of the Assembly is available by clicking here. Interested participants can register for the Friday evening reception featuring Scott Blackmun, the Saturday assembly meetings which includes the Saturday evening Awards Dinner, the Saturday evening Awards Dinner, or the Referee School.
