BRIDGEPORT, Pa.
-- The University of California garnered 100 points
for a fourth week in a row to remain as a unanimous top choice in the Week
10/November 10 Men's Varsity Top 20 poll released today by the Collegiate Water
Polo Association. Pomona-Pitzer Colleges takes over at No. 1 in
the Division III Top 10 poll, while St. Francis College (N.Y.)
held onto the No. 1 ranking in the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Top
10 poll for another week.
Voted on by a panel of
coaches and administrators from around the country during the preseason and each
week of the season based on the cumulative results of each team, the Varsity Top
20, Division III Top 10 and Collegiate Water Polo Association Top 10 polls are
released on Wednesday during the season until the week following the National
Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Championship.
Men's Varsity Top
20
The University of
California remains at No. 1 for another week as the Golden Bears once
again garnered 100 points to top the Week 10/November 10 Men's Varsity National
Top 20.
California,
which garnered 95 points to edge out the University of
California-Los Angeles by a single point (95-to-94) in the preseason
rankings, previously ranked No. 1 as a unanimous choice in the September 8,
September 15, October 20, October 27 and November 3 polls.
The University of
Southern California, which held the No. 1 ranking in the September 22,
September 29, October 6 and October 13 polls, stays at No. 2 this week with
Stanford University sliding past the UCLA to take over at No.
3.
The University of
California-Irvine remains at No. 5, while the University of
California-Irvine, University of the Pacific,
University of California-Santa Barbara, Loyola
Marymount University and Long Beach State University
moved around from No. 6 to 9 with Pepperdine University holding
at No. 10 to round out the Top 10.
The pattern of teams
traded places continues at No. 11-to-17 as the University of
California-San Diego edges past Santa Clara University
to take over at No,. 11, St. Francis College (N.Y.) jumps to
No. 13 to force the University of California-Davis back to No.
14, California Baptist University improves one place to No. 15,
Princeton UniversityBucknell University takes
over sole possession of the No. 17 spot.

Naval Academy was the biggest mover of the week falling three places to
No. 18. Brown University breaks into the Top 20 at No. 19,

Men's Varsity Division III Top
10
Pomona-Pitzer Colleges returns to the No. 1 spot in
the Week 10/November 10 Men's Varsity Division III Top 10 poll for the first
time since October 20.
The Sagehens, who were
replaced by the University of Redlands in the standings as the
No. 1 team two weeks ago, return to the top position by outdistancing Redlands
by a single point this week (97-to-96).
Johns Hopkins
University holds at No. 3 this week, while the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology climbs one place to No. 4. California
Lutheran University and Chapman University move up to
No. 6 and 7, with Whittier College holding firm at No.
8
Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges slides to No. 8,
while Occidental College and the
University of La Verne remain at No. 9 and 10 for another
week.
Washington &
Jefferson College is the lone newcomer to the balloting as the
Presidents received 22 points to miss out on cracking the Top 10.

College (N.Y.) retained its position as the No. 1 team in the Week
10/November 10 Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA) Men's Varsity Division
III Top 10 poll by becoming a unanimous top selection for the second time in
three weeks.
The Northern Division
champion Terriers, who were a unanimous pick two weeks ago before holding off a
challenge from the United States Naval Academy by a single
point last week, now lead the conference by seven points over Southern Division
champion Princeton University (100-to-93).
Southern Division
runner-up Bucknell University moves up to third, while Southern
Division third place finisher Navy falls to fourth and Northern Division
runner-up Brown University slides to fifth in the 10th weekly
edition of the poll.
Southern Division fourth
place finisher Johns Hopkins University and Northern Division
third place finisher Fordham University move up to No. 6 and
No. 7, respectively, this week, with Northern Division fourth place finisher the
