2010 Champions Cup Set For Southeastern Texas - November 12-14

Huntington Beach, Calif. – October 26, 2010 – One of the year’s top water polo tournaments hits Texas this fall as the 2010 14 & U Champions Cup is set to take place November 12-14 in Shenandoah, Texas. Held at the state of the art Conroe Natatorium, the event formerly known as Speedo Cup will bring together the best of the best in the 14 and under age group for a National Championship like no other. Hosted by the Conroe Independent School District and North Houston Water Polo the event moves to Texas after consecutive years in the state of Michigan.
As in years past 24 teams will be competing from all over the country advancing to the Champions Cup through zone qualification. 12 boys teams and 12 girls team will compete over three days of action to claim the title in one of USA Water Polo’s longest running events.
“North Houston Water Polo is thrilled to have the opportunity to host the 14 & Under USA Water Polo National Championships,” said Kym Pollina of North Houston Water Polo. “We are looking forward to all the teams enjoying the opportunity to compete at our state of the art CISD Natatorium in Shenandoah Texas. ”

I know all of our participants and their families are going to feel very welcomed in November.”
United of Los Alamitos, California claimed the boys title and Tustin, California (SoCal) won the girls crown in 2009 with Tustin returning to defend their crown in 2010 as the top seed on the girls side. Newport Beach, California enters the tourney as the top seed for the boys.
