Huntington Beach, CA - February 23 - The USA Men's Senior National Team is back in action for the first time since the 2009 World Championships when they venture to Hungary to take part in the Volvo Cup, February 24-26. The squad, coming off a fourth place finish in Rome this past summer, will compete with the likes of Hungary, Canada, and Australia. The Volvo Cup schedule has been updated in comparison to the schedule released earlier this month.
Head Coach Terry Schroeder will lead a group of savvy veterans along with a few newcomers in the three days of competition that will include four days of common trainings prior to the start of competition. Team captain Tony Azevedo (Long Beach, CA/NYAC) is joined with fellow Olympians Genai Kerr (Imperial Beach, CA/SET), Adam Wright (Seal Beach, CA/NYAC), Jesse Smith (Coronado, CA/NYAC), Tim Hutten (Seal Beach, CA/Newport WPF), and JW Krumpholz (Santa Ana, CA/LAWPC).
