Newport Beach, CA - December 11 - Canada used a stellar first half to put Italy away early in an 11-6 win on day three of the Holiday Cup. Dominique Perreault scored four goals in leading Canada to their first victory of the Holiday Cup. Italy falls to 0-3 with the loss, while Canada moves to 1-1-1.

Team Canada used the first period as a springboard in this match posting a 4-0 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter the Italians got on the board with two goals but that was countered by two from Canada for a 6-2 lead in favor of the Canadians at halftime. In the third quarter it was more of the same, Italy scored some, Canada scored more and it was 11-4 Canada going to the fourth. The final quarter saw a mini-rally by Italy with two goals but that would be all as Canada would go on for the 11-6 win.
