It is time to begin our search for 2014-2015 USA Water Polo Academic All-Americans. Your participation in USA Water Polo events may grant you the opportunity to apply for recognition for your athletic and academic achievements. The Academic All-American program recognizes student athletes for their accomplishments in the pool and in the classroom. USA Water Polo is proud of the fact that we are able to acknowledge student athletes for their hard work and dedication in and out of the pool. Last year we recognized over 900 student-athletes as Academic All-Americans!
USA Water Polo Academic All-American is a student-athlete who has earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.60 or higher for the 2014-2015 academic school year; will complete the 10th, 11th or 12th grade in the spring of 2015; is a current USA Water Polo Member; and has competed in a USA Water Polo National Event during the 2014-2015 academic school year. There is a $40 non-refundable application fee. The application is available online through your membership account. We will be accepting applications Wednesday, April 22, 2015. E-mails will be sent out when the application process opens.
1. Must have completed the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade during Spring of 2015
2. Be a current USA Water Polo athlete member (silver or gold) for the 2015 membership season
3. Competed in a USA Water Polo National Event or National Event Qualifier
4. Must have a 3.60 grade point average on a 4.00 scale (weighted) for entire 2014-2015 academic year
5. GPA is weighted and calculated using the following academic subjects: History/Social Science, English, Mathematics, Laboratory Science, Foreign Language, Arts - Visual/Performing, and Computer Science
6. Application and fee MUST be completed online by Tuesday, July 21, 2015
7. Incomplete or Late Applications will not be reviewed and/or accepted
2014-2015 Required Materials

2.) Participate in a National Event
2014-2015 Qualified National Events Include:
2014 Junior Olympics
2015 Junior Olympics Qualifier
2015 ODP Program Participant (Rostered in the ODP National Championships)
3.) Official transcript
We require an Official Transcript from the school with the official school seal for the entire 2014-2015 academic year. Deadline toRECEIVE transcripts is Friday, August 28, 2015. This must be mailed in a sealed envelope or emailed directly from the school's online transcript system. Faxes, opened envelopes, or forwarded email transcripts WILL NOT be accepted. To be considered "official" mailed transcripts must remain sealed as issued by the school. Forward these documents directly USA Water Polo as-is; please do not open the envelope as this will void the transcripts. Transcripts must be RECEIVED BY Friday, August 28th - but application & fee MUST be completed prior to deadline of July 21st to qualify for the extended transcript deadline. Transcripts will not be returned.
Please note: Due to such a high volume of transcripts, we may not be able to verify if we have received it. To guarantee delivery, we recommend sending your transcript certified mail.

There is a non-refundable application fee of $40 due upon application submission online. Applications are not complete until fee and transcript have been received.
Awards Given 1. An Academic All-American certificate will be mailed to the student-athlete.
2. Outstanding Achiever recognition is given to each individual who maintained a 4.00 GPA or higher.
