Huntington Beach, CA - September 25 - Lynn Comer Kachmarik has resigned from the USA Water Polo Board of Directors on September 24, 2009. Ms. Kachmarik was the head of the board’s Ethics committee, and was instrumental in drafting the organization’s “Statement of Ethics and Values,” which was adopted in 2006.
An original board member from the reorganization of 2006, Kachmarik was the first woman to play on the Women’s National Team from outside of California and is still active in Masters events. She is also a member of the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame.
“We thank Lynn for her many contributions during the past three years, including her leadership of our ethics and judicial committees,” said Mike Graff, Chairman of the USAWP Board. “She brought an important perspective to our board, and she worked tirelessly to develop, refine and oversee our grievance process. She has been a leader in our sport for a long time, and I hope she continues to contribute.”
