USA Water Polo is proud to invite athletes, fans, families, coaches and referees to JO Expo 08. Each JO Expo will kick off with the College Coach Meet & Greet. For two hours on the afternoon of Friday, July 25th and Wednesday, July 30th, college coaches will be on hand at the Hilton Costa Mesa to meet face to face with rising seniors.
Seniors, that have not signed letters of intent, will have the opportunity to introduce themselves, drop off a resume and/or video and invite the coach to watch them play at Junior Olympics.
Freshmen, sophomores and juniors will be able to fill out questionnaires for the school of their interest and drop off resumes and/or videos. Volunteers will accept questionnaires and resumes at tables set up in the main room.
USA Water Polo encourages individuals to travel to the JO Expo with family members and chaperones and reminds everyone that the Meet & Greet is not considered a team event, but an individual opportunity to meet collegiate coaches. Athletes are welcome to contact coaches on their own should the timing of this event not work within their travel arrangements.
Juniors and seniors attending the JO Expo during the Meet & Greet will receive “Coach Rosters” of all coaches in attendance.
In case there is a large number of athletes coaches will use a two-minute egg timer to keep conversation time even across the room.
