2010-2011 school year is the 5th year of the USA Water Polo Academic All-American program. This program recognizes student athletes for their accomplishments in the pool and in the classroom. Below, are the details regarding eligibility requirements and necessary application forms.
The deadline for the 2010-2011 school year has passed. We will not be accepting ANY late applications.
USA WATER POLO ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN NOMINATION POLICY
A USA Water Polo Academic All-American is a student-athlete who has a grade point average of 3.6 or higher, has competed in a USA Water Polo national event during the 2010-2011 school year, and is a current USA Water Polo Member.
Eligibility*
1. Must complete 10th, 11th, or 12th grade during Spring of 2011.
2. Be a current USA Water Polo member.
3. Competed in a USA Water Polo National Event or National Event Qualifier. Events listed below.
4. Must have a 3.6 grade point average on a 4.0 scale (weighted) for entire 2010-2011 academic year.
5. GPA is calculated for the following academic subjects: History/Social Science, English, Mathematics, Laboratory Science, Foreign Language Arts – Visual/Performing and Computer Science.
6. Incomplete or Late Applications will not be reviewed and/or accepted.
*we recommend sending your application and event verification form by certified mail so you have proof of delivery as we will not be able to confirm receipt of materials until after the deadline
Required Materials - Due BY Tuesday, July 26, 2011
1. A completed
2011 Academic All-American Application.
2. An official transcript with the official seal for the ENTIRE (2010-2011) academic year is required, faxes will NOT be accepted. Transcripts may be mailed along with the application or sent separately from the school. Materials will not be returned.
3. A completed
Event Verification Form.
NOTE: Event Verification Form AND Application must be submitted together. Official Transcript can be sent with the forms OR sent separately from school.

Awards
1. An Academic All-American certificate will be mailed to the student-athlete.
2. Outstanding Achiever recognition is given to each individual who maintained a 4.0 GPA or higher.
