Academic All-American Program:
We are very excited to honor our USAWP Academic All-Americans for the 2009-2010 school year. We will begin taking applications shortly. Please check back on Wednesday April 7th for specific instructions on how to nominate athletes for this prestigious honor.
This is the 4th year of the USA Water Polo Academic All-American program. This program recognizes student athletes for their accomplishments in the pool and in the classroom.
USA WATER POLO ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN NOMINATION POLICY
A USA Water Polo Academic All-American is a student-athlete who has a grade point average of 3.6 or higher, has competed in a USA Water Polo national event during the 2009-2010 school year, and is a current USA Water Polo Member.
Eligibility

Must have completed 10th, 11th, or 12th grade during Spring of 2010.

Be a current USA Water Polo member.

Competed in a USA Water Polo National Event or National Event Qualifier. Events listed below.

Must have a 3.6 grade point average on a 4.0 scale (weighted) for entire 2009-2010 academic year.

GPA for academic subjects: History/Social Science, English, Mathematics, Laboratory Science, Foreign Language Arts – Visual/Performing and Computer Science.

An official transcript with the official seal for the ENTIRE (2009-2010) academic year is required, faxes will NOT be accepted. Transcripts may be mailed along with the application or sent separately from the school. Materials will not be returned.

An Academic All-American certificate will be mailed to the student-athlete.

Outstanding Achiever recognition is given to each individual who maintained a 4.0 GPA or higher.
