Comments

John Williams legacy is Water Polo at USC. John is responsible for the maintaining of the program throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s including being dropped in 1980 and almost again in 1992. It was not until 1995 when the women’s team was established and had secured a full time coaching position for the program did John finally feel comfortable about the future of Water Polo at USC. The ability of the program to survive 25 years of the constant threat of Title IX elimination and still be competitive as they have been (18 consecutive years in the top 6 teams) is a tribute to John’s love of Water Polo and USC.
