The Seven “C’s” of USA Water Polo Membership:
Competition- We host regional and national sanctioned club tournaments throughout the year including Junior Olympics, US Leagues and National Championships; We also offer progressive training and competition through our Olympic Development Program, and through our Junior Youth, Core 016 and Senior National Teams, and of course, our Olympic Team. As a member, you are eligible for competitive recognition (All-American, Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, etc.).
Character- We help to build cooperative skills and teamwork; Through the Positive Coaching Alliance we emphasize the double goal of being the best athlete you can be AND learning critical life lessons through sport. We also stress respect for the game, the search for excellence, fair play, the joy in effort, discipline, physical fitness, and scholar athletes through our Academic All-American program.
Coverage- We offer the best supplementary insurance coverage in aquatics, including: accidental, dental, physical therapy, orthopedic, accidental death, and dismemberment. Communication- We publish the quarterly Skipshot magazine as well as a monthly e-newsletter. Through our website, we also provide the ability to customize your own member report for college recruitment via your membership profile.
Continuity- We provide playing opportunities for those as young as 5 years old, through Splashball, with additional opportunities all the way to Masters. We help you achieve your best with the largest group of certified water polo coaches anywhere.
Community- We are members of the US Olympic Committee, which means that you are part of the Olympic movement and share in the goals of Team USA. You are a member of the governing body for one of the world's toughest sports. As a USAWP member you are eligible for special members only discounts from our corporate partners.

National Teams
USA Water Polo oversees both the Men’s and Women’s National Team programs and each individual member is a part of the National Team pipeline, whether they know it or not. Each athlete on our current National Teams can be traced back to a local club near you. Only members of USA Water Polo have the ability to become involved with the Olympic Development Program. Local Zones
A portion of your membership dues is given to your local zone to aid in the development of water polo in your area. USA Water Polo has 11 zones across the nation, organized geographically and these zones assist in the growth and long-term development on all levels of men's and women's water polo.
Water Polo Community
Today there are over 30,000 members of USA Water Polo. Membership facilitates USA Water Polo to provide leadership and opportunities for all people to experience water polo from recreation to Olympic competition. USA Water Polo is a non-profit, volunteer-based organization and each member plays a vital role. The organization is driven by its members not only because it signifies the support of the organizations efforts, but because without its members, USA Water Polo could not continue growing the game you love.
